Understanding Lysosomal Storage Disorders: A Comprehensive Review for Genetic Counselors
Join NSGC and the France Foundation for a live, interactive webinar for 1.0 Contact Hours/0.1 CEU* with NO REGISTRATION OR CEU FILING FEE!
Given the large number of lysosomal storage disorders (LSDs), it is unlikely that an individual disorder can be recognized immediately upon presentation, thereby delaying a critical diagnosis. While incurable, they are manageable if identified in a timely fashion. It is critical that genetic counselors become conversant with the LSDs in general and the clinical challenges and implications associated with them so they can contribute to earlier identification and intervention.
Learners will be encouraged to actively participate in the analysis of 2 cases, guided by 2 genetic counselors and a physician geneticist with expertise in LSDs. Meghan Strenk, MS, GCG, Rachel Hickey, MS, LGC, and Jennifer Gannon, MD will be available to answer your questions.

*Genetic Counselor CEUs: This event has been submitted to the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) for approval of Category 1 CEUs. The American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) accepts CEUs approved by NSGC for purposes of recertification. Approval for the requested CEUs and Contact Hours is currently pending.
